Places to Go
Penny Lake Preserve, which is connected to our inn by a lovely bridge, offers a picturesque escape for visitors to Boothbay Harbor, ME. Quietly situated near the YMCA and St. Andrews Village, this wetland provides significant wildlife habitat for migratory and nesting birds, as well as for moose, deer, beaver, turtles, and a wide variety of plant life. Of particular interest is a bridge across Penny Lake completed by Boothbay Region Land Trust, and a winding ADA-compliant trail accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. One of the best places to go while you're here is our own Mr. C's Food & Spirits at the Flagship Inn.
